I had planned on doing something like this for a while but I didnt think it would come out like this at first, though its probably something that Ill have to carry on in several videos to fully grasp the concept; but this definitely belongs to the series of surrealism videos Ive been making, too.
I just really hope that you know that its okay if youre queer, your identity is valid, your feelings are valid, we hear you and your voice matters to us.
This video is kind of born from my need to express that, even though its not the first time. But Ive been struggling with this for a while and I hope that this will help.

Take my surrealist videos, theyre probably the ones where I break the fourth wall the most, but theres always something that stops me from doing it all the way down, you know? [I want to do something] with the same spirit, and it wouldnt actually be that different, itd just be more explicit instead of letting everything in the air, on the edge of course there would still be this kind of secret and mystery behind it, but it would be part of the actual process of editing, of the message of the video itself. This was a conversation I had with Emma some weeks ago that helped me put these thoughts into words, and reading this again, I feel like its still not exactly that.
I just feel like Im in a period when I want to go beyond the limit I usually underline but never use afterwards.
so yeah, very gay, very violent as well, related to these harsh feelings Ive had lately, and very passionate.
I think we can divide my time on youtube in different eras, and ever since I came back from my vidding break... its not the one where I have the most views but its the one where Im genuine and thats all that matters to me.

YouTube feels like home, video editing is my life, and I really cant explain this because it just feels so natural to me, and there are no words that could describe what this all means to me. As you may have figured out for those who know me really well, Im trying to work on every possibilities that video editing can offer, and Im trying to link it to many things... (but hey actually if Im really going to do that Q&A thing I think Ill explain everything to you better xD)
I care about video editing and literature, and this is what Ive been working on here. This time I thought about elegy.
An Elegy (elegia in latin) is a poem of serious reflection, typically a lament for the dead.
Its supposed to bring a feeling of nostalgia.
Need I say more? Cause if you dont feel the lament in this video I think youre either BLIND or DEAF. xD Besides, I mean COME ON, look at the name of the song... lol
Anyway... I was reading poetry (again) and I found a poem of the French poet Paul Eluard (again) which really surprised me because some of its verses reminded me of the video I was actually making :
“Elle a toujours les yeux ouverts [She always has her eyes opened]
Et ne me laisse pas dormir. [And doesnt let me sleep.]”
(→ I mean 1:46 - 1:49 just WOW)
“Ses rêves en pleine lumière [Her dreams in full light]
Font sévaporer les soleils [Make suns evaporate]”
(→ again if you dont see the nostalgia/plaint here...)
Literature-Poetry & Video Editing. This is my goal. In some way, this has always been my goal.
I think the story is pretty clear : The Golden Trio finds out that Harry is a horcrux and that Dumbledore had been lying to Harry, which is why Harry doesnt trust Dumbledore anymore. What I actually really like about this video is that Harry and Hermione arent the only focal point here. I also REALLY want to show people that shipping Harmony doesnt mean HATING ON RON, which is why I included him here too, without him being jealous, just being himself : an awesome friend who would do anything to save the ones he loves.
Will I ever stop mentionning that me + editing instrumentals is what makes my life even more complete? ♥

this video is a bit uncanny (familiar but new); i was planning on uploading it around may but uni wont let me live. so i changed the way i had wanted to do this and i guess this video could actually be divided in two independent parts. both are still obviously linked with each other and are part of this new mini series i have in mind (starting with my previous video, dance of souls, and following this journey of soul mysteries that i have with another video that i didnt get the chance to start working on yet).
ode to flames had many other titles, going from first love (as an echo to my video confession and as a reference to becketts first love + sugas song first love) to ode to lost souls. i kinda wrote a poem about this but its still a work in progress, and im not sure where to go with the third video yet, well see where time and space take me;
you thudes dont even know how long its been since ive tried to make a video with an organ instrumental; fINALLY its here and i am so proud of it. i hope youll enjoy this chaos with me.
the soundscape is probably the most important part of this, going from the weigh of silence to destructive cacophony, its been my favourite thing to work on, and i reckon its an easy way to convey things that i couldnt really express with words and through the footage here.

New show. New ship. PERFECTION. I watched the three episodes yesterday and I did this video in less than a day today (because it took HOURS to upload them in a decent quality uugh)
These two are PERFECT. Seriously. I usually hardly edit something that isnt Harry Potter or Merlin, so you know what I mean : if you dont know that show youve got to see it. Close that video and go watch it right away xD
I cant wait for 1x04 (the promo guys did you see the epic promo and the amazing others moments with Mary and Francis !!!! :X)
