YouTube feels like home, video editing is my life, and I really can't explain this because it just feels so natural to me, and there are no words that could describe what this all means to me. I care about video editing and literature, and this is what I've been working on here. This time I thought about elegy.
An Elegy (elegia in latin) is a poem of serious reflection, typically a lament for the dead.
It's supposed to bring a feeling of nostalgia.
Need I say more? Cause if you don't feel the lament in this video I think you're either BLIND or DEAF. xD Besides, I mean COME ON, look at the name of the song... lol
Anyway... I was reading poetry (again) and I found a poem of the French poet Paul Eluard (again) which really surprised me because some of its verses reminded me of the video I was actually making :
“Elle a toujours les yeux ouverts [She always has her eyes opened]
Et ne me laisse pas dormir. [And doesn't let me sleep.]”
(→ I mean 1:46 - 1:49 just WOW)
“Ses rêves en pleine lumière [Her dreams in full light]
Font s'évaporer les soleils [Make suns evaporate]”
(→ again if you don't see the nostalgia/plaint here...)
Literature-Poetry & Video Editing. This is my goal. In some way, this has always been my goal.
I think the story is pretty clear : The Golden Trio finds out that Harry is a horcrux and that Dumbledore had been lying to Harry, which is why Harry doesn't trust Dumbledore anymore. What I actually really like about this video is that Harry and Hermione aren't the only focal point here. I also REALLY want to show people that shipping Harmony doesn't mean HATING ON RON, which is why I included him here too, without him being jealous, just being himself : an awesome friend who would do anything to save the ones he loves.
Will I ever stop mentionning that me + editing instrumentals is what makes my life even more complete? ♥
I hope you will enjoy this, thank you all so much for your feedbacks, appreciation, support and LOVE even, sometimes haha! You're all gold and you deserve to be as happy as I am thanks to you!

I always wanted to make a video about the Princes tale. This story is soo beautiful, and its probably my favorite chapter in all the books ! Hope you will like it ! =)

i mean - i could quote the entire book, and i could (i will) eventually make other videos about hyyh. it broke me and fixed me all at the same time.

this video is a bit uncanny (familiar but new); i was planning on uploading it around may but uni wont let me live. so i changed the way i had wanted to do this and i guess this video could actually be divided in two independent parts. both are still obviously linked with each other and are part of this new mini series i have in mind (starting with my previous video, dance of souls, and following this journey of soul mysteries that i have with another video that i didnt get the chance to start working on yet).
ode to flames had many other titles, going from first love (as an echo to my video confession and as a reference to becketts first love + sugas song first love) to ode to lost souls. i kinda wrote a poem about this but its still a work in progress, and im not sure where to go with the third video yet, well see where time and space take me;
you thudes dont even know how long its been since ive tried to make a video with an organ instrumental; fINALLY its here and i am so proud of it. i hope youll enjoy this chaos with me.
the soundscape is probably the most important part of this, going from the weigh of silence to destructive cacophony, its been my favourite thing to work on, and i reckon its an easy way to convey things that i couldnt really express with words and through the footage here.

there are pain and doubts and self-hatred in this video - and its always been there, unconsciously, in most of the previous ones - but theres also so much more acceptance, i hope that you can accept it too. i hope that you can accept yourself, too.

I know this video is like.. something we upload to Halloween..In fact I watched The Woman in Black on October 31th at night.. so yeah I couldnt make the video at the same time xD But while I was watching (and screaming xD) I had this idea. I really love it, I mean cmon ! Harry and Hermione with the Woman in black.. its more than interesting ! xD Maybe Ill make more stuff like that in the future =)
You can imagine that Harry and Hermione are looking for the Horcruxes, but instead of going to Godrics Hollow, they go here, and met the Woman in Black.

Today is the birthday of my favorite character EVER, Harry. I love him SO MUCH, there are NO WORDS to express how much I love him.. and Im so thankful towards Jo. She created a world that saved me more times than I can count.
She gave us a family, the Potterheads, and I love us so much.
This is the first time that im making a video with the full song (4 minutes!!!) I really hope youll enjoy it, its probably not my best, but I really wanted to make something special for Harry. Hes such a complex character, hes been through so much yet he still smiled and loved, hes amazing. Hes perfect.

it might be more accurate to call these modernism, but I didnt know about it then, and after all, something clicked for the first time when I heard about surrealism, so Im not going to let this go.
I got so attached to one of my own characters over the years, this connection has been getting stronger and stronger, and when I feel down, I always rely on this - fiction is incredibly important.
About the last words at the end, I just looked for some antonyms of a term thats been hurting me more than it should have in the first place. I thought it was pretty inspiring when it came to that video, and it also added some kind of a silver lining! Hell knows we need it these days.
