This week in our wild edibles series, we're taking a look at mulberry (morus).
I was recently surprised to see mulberry pop up in one of the forums I frequent for an identification request. I immediately thought to myself, "I thought everyone knew what this was". Then I remembered my parents warning me about these when I was younger, saying that they were probably poisonous.
Nothing could be further from the truth. Mulberry is not only edible, it is very delicious! So... hikers, campers, bushcrafter, and foragers... be on the lookout for this amazing wild edible this season!
