Edwards/Getzen did a fantastic job when they made the Edwards Gen II trumpet a few years back. This version features their biggest, heaviest gauge bell. I'm playing it here with 3 great mouthpieces:
1. The GR64 MS; a Medium Shallow piece. I get a fairly dark tone so I can use this for almost everything; I really like this mouthpiece.
2. The GR64 M-B; a Medium mouthpiece by GR - but with a larger, deeper cup - a bit like the Bach B cup. I've always loved the sound of this piece - but I haven't been able to appreciate the sound when recording... Until now. :)
3. The TA/TF. Years ago when Trent Austin was just starting to sell his mouthpieces, he came up with this one - and it's great. I believe Peter Pickett was making these first mouthpieces for Trent, and this one is a winner. Just a fantastic piece, Trent Austin's Trumpet Flugel piece; the TA/TF.
