A rather unusual horn here, the Olds Opera Premier. Perhaps made to rival the success that Conn was having with their Nickel-Silver Connstellation horns, well, for whatever reason - Olds produced quite a fine horn with their Opera. With its solid Nickel-Silver bell, I find the sound to be very impressive; a very complex sound. I think certain mouthpieces can draw specific strengths from this model. So, we play first with a GR64M-B, then with a Reeves C2J (flugel/trumpet piece), and lastle with a commercial piece, GR's 64MS with their #1 backbore. Enjoy! :)
