In this video I talk about some of the problems I've encountered when troubleshooting TV antennas found in motor homes. Surprisingly a large percentage of the calls I've had are due to operator error, but the second most common calls are from people who don't realize they need to turn on the power going to the amplifier located inside the antenna itself. Sometimes the power switch is located in a closet or a back room which may be hidden, but if you have one of these antennas somewhere in your motorhome or trailer you will find a power switch that need to be turned on. Even though the Amplifier is supposed to be sealed from the rain, sometimes water can get inside of these amplifiers and run down the inside of the coax.
