New GTA 6 details from the alleged leaks:
• There's a 6-Star Wanted system now
• There's some sort of RDR2 style karma or reputation system
• Police can recognize your face, clothing, and getaway car - changing these could make it easier to lower your Wanted Level.
• Cars require fuel and maintenance
• Melee attacks require stamina or energy
• NPCs can get out of their car and road rage against you
• There are two currencies, one for your safehouse and one for your person
• There's a Focus bar when Jason is shooting the basketball
• Crashing your car depletes the player's health
• Cars also have storage and loadout slots in the trunk
• Objects seem to have a more complex physics system. Stuff like the basketball and plants move, shake, and fall more realistically.
So the third GTA 6 leak shows off a bunch of night gameplay, and how there are properties that you can trespass on and be attacked by their security. You can pick up enemy hats just like in RDR2, and there is pop-ups for an in-depth interaction system with NPCs to defuse situations.
You can also choose between smashing windows to steal cars OR clone their keys, the melee combat seems like an evolution of the system in RDR2 while the aiming is still relying on auto-aim in this seemingly 2025 build as it features a song released in January 2025.
It's very clear that this is from an early version of the game, there's constant pop-ins and animations seem very much work in progress. The mechanics seem incredibly in-depth and the NPCs truly feel alive, there's just so much traffic on streets and especially in how NPCs reacted to Jason trespassing, there's an option to surrender at any point to the police as well.
The leakers also seem to have a cutscene which they pop in at the end for a few seconds, I truly hope they do not leak any story details. nobody wants to see that. At this point, I just want Thursday to come so we can see the actual finished 2026 game.
Overall, looks like they're taking a lot more inspiration from RDR2 than GTA 5. Which sounds great IMO.
There's another GTA 6 gameplay leak... this one has even more gameplay and a cutscene.
i genuinely don't understand the hype for GTA 6. you're getting excited for a game that runs bad (30 fps) plays bad (rockstar game (animation-driven)) looks generic, and probably doesn't even have a good story. for Eighty Dollars.
make it make sense.
