In this video, Moonbase, released in 1988 for the Atari ST by Atari Corp.
Once again Earth's infallible defence system has failed. The reason? lack of ore in the superconducting circuits of the system. The solution? Send a drone to the moon and go on a mission to retrieve ore from the ground and fill the orbiting mothership's containers. To do so, the game is divided into 3 stages: Collection run, homerun and homebase. The graphics are 8-bit like but ok with a good parallax scrolling and the audio has both digitized and standard sound fx. The missions are varied and well constructed but IMHO the problem in Moonbase is playability and longevity with odd controls and lack of interest.
