Moon of Manakoora is a dreamy Hawaiian song that I enjoy playing for others. I always play this song in the D9th tuning (which is obtained by simply lowering your 4th string G to F# on the C6th tuning). Here's the D9th tuning, from treble to bass: E - C - A - F# - E - C (that's the exact tuning that I used in this video). There's some free tabs at my SteelC6th.com website. Enjoy!
Also, I'd suggest turning up the reverb to about 7 or 8 on this song, giving it more of a dreamy song. And use extra bar vibrato where you can in desired places. Palm and fingers harmonics sound great in a song like this.

I am playing this song on a Jerry Byrd aluminum frypan, 24 1/2" long scale. The stand is a blessing as the guitar gets quite heavy after a while. As seen in the video, I'm using a battery-powered VOX amp with a 5" speaker. The SONY boom box plays my rhythm tracks. This Hawaiian song is one of my favorites.
