I had this grand vision. I've got two cool paraphonic synths with CV and all sorts of cool ways to manipulate them. The brain was the Pro-2, it has gate out and 4 CV outputs and you can sequence with it in so many ways. These two were destined to be... but, not really in my hands, because I spent way too long trying to get the Pro-2 to trigger the sequencer of the Matriarch and it just wasn't happening. Ever. I never got it to trigger the sequencer to advance. Sometimes it would sort of half-trigger it, but then self-trigger anyway as well, so it didn't work. Anyway, I never figured it out, hooked up MIDI, recorded whatever the hell all of this is, and walked away. I don't know enough about CV. I don't know enough about modular stuff. You know, someone mentioned on a forum how you can do this and that - but they only half explained it so I couldn't actually figure out how to achieve what they were doing (apparently something about the noise inverting the signal and you can feed it into something and get some cool effects).

Anyway, here this is. A meaningless endeavor. The two synths shall be dismantled soon.

$Lost serenity | Rhodes piano and Access Virus KB instrumental improv What a week - but not really in a bad way, for once. Still waiting to hear back from my HVAC company from the stuff Ive dealt with weeks ago. And back then, I was worried about my cat, who we learned had a UTI and didnt have advanced kidney disease, so we were able to go on a great vacation in our camper. My kid passed level 3 swim and started level 4 (whatever that means, its improvement either way). Im teaching my other kid to read and shes almost done with the workbook. Shes starting (on her own) to just write words, like lanch (lunch) and other words. Its really fun to watch. Anyway, Ive been away from writing music for a while. I have something else Ive been working on, so I expect Ill not be in my studio as often. However, I did get something new thats on its way, so it might change my time in the studio... $Turning my Rhodes Piano into an ambient pad using a Fractal Audio FM3 I wanted to try something different. I put a filter in front of most other effects on the Fractal Audio FM3 (you use blocks and can place them in any order in your list of FX). I used an LP filter, with an input follower, so that as the sound comes in, theres a slow attack for the sound to come in and a slow release for the sound. In this way, I ended up making the Rhodes sound like a synthesizer pad. Maybe not something Id do all the time, but I did like how it came out. At the same time - I could play on top of it once the sound was in to give me two sort of sounds (1 pad and 1 electric piano). Let me know what you think. #rhodespiano #fractalaudiofm3$
