Most of this Diorama is modeled in Styrene Plastic and Acrylic Mediums. The base is a wood frame with foam substrate with Fast Mache ground work. The rest is Styrene plastics and Liquitex Mediums painted with Tamiya Acrylics.
Personally I would recommend most of all these products to kids because they are user friendly, water based, and generally non-toxic materials that won't compromise respiratory health. Using a mask is always recommended when using solvents and spray paints from air brushes or aerosol cans.
