Modeling a Short Line Siding on The Model Railroad for Greater Realism

There is nothing like an old rustic or out-of-service siding on your railroad to emphasize a prototype feel to your layout. I like to get out and photograph a siding or crossing to help inspire my modeling. I also study lots of photos as well when I model.
