There was a time when the vicinity of NYC (& ALL its boroughs) was the mecca for ALL things heavy, gritty & real. The countless bands (& individual personalities) that established that notoriety are far too many to mention here; BUT one man who embodied that spirit both in his music & persona managed to not only, immortalize his mark in hardcore, thrash & crossover, but become one of the MOST beloved characters in heavy music for the love of his country & transparent charisma. YES, I am speaking of the one & ONLY, Billy Milano & his namesake, MOD Method Of Destruction! The man who transplanted himself in Austin, Texas almost 20 years ago continues his commitment to music (& the scene) & despite the fact we hadn't crossed paths (on camera) in 17 years, I'm happy to know that our brotherhood maintains its tenacity. SO, I highly anticipated our interview on March 14th, 2025 at RIP Coffee , as I knew Billy would both entertain & give it to me straight from the hip; AND, that's why I love Billy & have stayed committed to him all these years. He is a REAL MAN! (no facade here) And, I know when we chat I will get the unadulterated, rambunctious & un-censored voice, which has become synonymous with his name.
