In this video we take a ride on Mississauga Miway’s route 2 Hurontario, which runs north and south between Miway’s City Centre Transit Terminal & Port Credit Go Station. Route 2 runs 7 days a week 24 hours a day, and is based out of Miway’s Central Parkway Garage. This route uses 40 foot, and 60 foot transit buses.
1059 is a 2010 New Flyer D60LFR and is part of a 22 unit order (1051-1072). These buses were Miway’s first 60’ Articulated buses for Express service, and the very first articulated buses with a streamlined BRT styled roofline and Miway branding. These units are powered by a Cummins 8.9L Clean Diesel Turbocharged 330HP EPA-2010 Engine (ISL9) and an Allison 6 speed automatic transmission (B500R6). These units ride on MAN Drive Axles, and have driver controlled heating and cooling for both driver and passengers. These buses also feature 4ONE Aries seats for the passengers.
