In this video we take a brief ride on Miway’s route 109 Meadowvale Express, which runs South-east and north-west between Miway’s Meadowvale Town Centre Transit Terminal & Toronto Transit Commissions Islington Subway Station. This route operates 7 days a week, including holidays. This route takes both 40 and 60 foot buses, and is based out of Miway’s Central Parkway Garage.
1068 is a 2010 New Flyer D60LFR and is part of a 22 unit order (1051-1072). These buses were Miway’s first 60’ Articulated buses for Express service, and the very first articulated buses with a streamlined BRT styled roofline and Miway branding. These units are powered by a Cummins 8.9L Clean Diesel Turbocharged 330HP EPA2010 Engine (ISL9) and an Allison 6 speed automatic transmission (B500R6). These units ride on MAN Drive Axles, and have driver controlled heating and cooling for both driver and passengers. These buses also feature 4ONE Aries seats for the passengers.
