What a savage flight display!!! :DDD
This was one of Ellyot Anton's performances at the Barcelona Jets 2021 event and he totally blew our minds with this radical demonstration, featuring a modified Mirage 2000 from Aviation Design (to lighten it up) that wasn't even using thrust vectoring! ...Yes, as crazy as it sounds, these maneuvers were performed just on the basis of a lightweight airframe with the great aerodynamic features of the French Dassault Mirage and a pretty aft CG setup. This is flying on the edge... and it is BEAUTIFUL! :D
The jet features a PBS 200 gas turbine engine.
To me, this was easily one of the most remarkable performances in the entire event (my personal opinion, FWIW).
Barcelona jets is an international R/C jet meeting organized in Catalonia, at the RACBSA model aircraft Club in Montcada i Reixac, next to Ripollet in Catalonia, just a short drive from Barcelona. The original idea was to celebrate another 'Cerdanya Jets' (which got cancelled back in 2020 due to the global pandemic) but there were problems with the new aerodrome manager so instead the event came back to its origins... sad to an extent, as the organization was forced to limit assistance, but it was also cool to have this amazing event back at our local Club! :)
