If you're looking for the hike with the best view of Mont Blanc in the region, this one is it. The Grand Balcon Sud runs for miles of alpine ridgeline from Tre Le Champ across to Les Praz, and you can even continue along the trail all the way into Chamonix and Les Houches. Along the way, take the off shoot to Lac Blanc for the most magical alpine lake experience, and stop at the Lac Blanc Refuge for some coffee and snacks! This hike is known as one of the most spectacular stages of the Tour du Mont Blanc. If you're in Chamonix but don't have time to do the whole Tour du Mont Blanc, this is honestly the perfect Mont Blanc/French alps hiking experience.
