What to do when winter snowstorms descend in Southern California? Head out east to Joshua Tree of course!

We refuse to let winter weather crush our hiking dreams, and Joshua Tree makes the perfect escape for winter hiking.

We would highly recommend planning a visit to Joshua Tree national park this winter, and if you do, put this hike on the top of your list! We started at the Black Rock Campground and took the Panorama Loop Trail out to Warren Peak. Along the way we got up close and personal with tons of funky Joshua Trees, and had the most spectacular views of the desert, San Jacinto, San Gorgonio and all the mountain ranges beyond.
