Loaded Milk Tanker Caught Fire on Freeway! We've done quite a few tankers over the year, but a milk tanker hasn't been done here in quite a while. Even though it's not carrying fuel, these tankers still pose a huge threat when they catch fire. Thanks to the fire department who arrived promptly and swiftly put the fire out which gave Alex a safe working environment.
The company also had another empty tanker to help transfer the contents into a new one. Even though Flipper is plenty strong to lift it loaded, it does add a severe risk factor when transporting due to the surge. Plus, who wants to be stuck with a tanker full of spoiled milk lol. Once emptied out, Alex used dual spreader bars to prevent crushing the tank, then set it right onto the Landoll.
On the bright side, there were no injuries and the driver managed to pull to the side when he noticed smoke so it wasn't stuck blocking lanes of traffic.
