Lifting a Cessna Jet For Repairs After Landing Gear Failure! As odd as this job is, we are no strangers to lifting planes and helicopters at the airport. This call came in and Alex was dispatched in Big Flipper, our 75ton rotator. The hydraulic landing gear had some kind of failure, so they needed us to lift up the entire plane in order to temporarily get it out so it can then be moved and fixed.
Quick thinking from this pilot got it to land safely, which we all know how disastrous this could have otherwise been. The tricky thing about aircraft in general is all of them have different lift points. Some can be lifted under the wings, some have fuselage lines in spots you would normally lift at. Alex knocked it out the park with this one and get the plane back on its legs in short time.
