At just 16 months old, Maxwell Moquin has spent nearly his entire life fighting an extremely rare form of cancer. This weekend, hundreds of people gathered in Baldwinsville for the first Mighty Max Classic, a golf tournament created by his family to raise awareness for pediatric cancer and give back to organizations that have supported them.
Max’s parents, Lauren and Zach Moquin, said their son was diagnosed with cancer days after he was born in April 2025. He began chemotherapy at just three weeks old and spent the next six months undergoing treatment, including multiple hospital stays and surgery to remove the tumor.
