Microsoft / HP Mixed Reality Headset inside a Vincent van Gogh painting @allthings3d

Ever wanted to wander around a Van Gogh painting? Now you can if you own a Microsoft Mixed Reality headset. Friday on "3D in Review" (youtu.be/AGnE1PXrzQ4) we will make a link available to download a zip file for the UWP (Universal Windows Platform) app to sideload it to your Mixed Reality PC.

This was shot through the lens of he HP Mixed Reality headset, with the audio dubbed in later. This was on Mike's low cost VR backpack (i3, 6100, 8GB DDR3, 256 GB M.2 PCI-e, GTX1050ti) he created and discussed a few weeks back.

If you are interested in the workflow. Mike plans to take you through the steps to create your own Microsoft UWA for Mixed Reality using Unity 3D 2017.2.0b8 beta and MS Visual Studio 2017.

Mike embellished the model with few interesting features, one being the 3D audio, as well as full enclosing it, and opening the back door, but be warned, there is something lurking in the shadows behind it.
