The Print Whisperer:
Heat inserts are a great way to add threads to your 3d prints. Heated inserts install quickly with a soldering iron to add strong metal threads to any part you may have printed. They are low cost and can save print time and perform better than printed plastic threads. They also are great in applications where you may need to open and close something over and over without wearing out like plastic threads or using plastic screws.
You can find an amazing assortment of threaded inserts on Aliexpress: aliexpress.com/item/32921938592.html?spm=a2g0s.9042311.0.0.6ff04c4dnVQ7V1
Also add thumbscrews to make parts “tool-less”. Great for mobility devices etc...
