Located in Haydar Neighborhood and standing for centuries, the olive tree became the subject of research in 2009 to determine its age.
Studies conducted by the Adana Regional Board for the Protection of Cultural and Natural Assets determined that the olive tree was 1,300 years old, after which it was officially registered as a "monumental tree."
With a trunk diameter of 178 centimeters, a crown diameter of 7.5 meters, and a height of 5.5 meters, the tree is now 1,316 years old and continues to bear fruit.
Every October during the harvest season, olives from the monumental tree are carefully picked.
