I took Dave's "0-100" video from his 87 300D Turbo W124, and did a split screen with the "Modified 0-60" of my 91 350SDL Turbo W126 video that I made a while ago. (w124performance.com/movies/Mercedes/1987_300D/)
Audio from the 300D is on the left, the 350SDL is on the right.
It's interesting that the cars seem about the same speed to 60, and the 1-2 shift happens at the same time! Dave's car has a shorter rear end, and different 2nd gear ratio.
If I'd had more space, I think we'd see the 300D would pull away from the 350SDL.
