Mercedes Bus Production Factory - Manufacturing Plant in Turkey
From start to finish, production of the Mercedes touring coaches series of buses and regular-service buses.
At 1994, the large and spacious Mercedes-Benz bus facility in Hoşdere, close outside Istanbul, was completed. The factory is 360,000 m2 in size, with buildings occupying 139,000 m2. The factory includes a body shop, paint shop, assembly lines, and finishing assembly for all stages of bus production. The facility is outfitted with cutting-edge manufacturing technology. It encapsulates the overall concept of a modern manufacturing process, which it flawlessly realizes. The Hoşdere facility, like the others in the Daimler Buses integrated production network, follows best practice examples while also setting its own standards. Daimler AG now has a 67 percent stake in Mercedes-Benz Türk. Daimler has invested roughly EUR 885 million in Turkish bus manufacture since 1967. The success speaks for itself: Turkey has produced over 75,000 buses with the three-pointed star to date. They are currently sold in more than 70 countries throughout the world.
