Alice passed away on Sunday, August 27, 2023, in the loving company of her family. She was seventy-eight. Alice changed the lives of many people with her kindness and generosity, especially her surviving adopted sons, Hector Dominguez, and Victor Saenz, who she took in as young boys. Her surviving grandchildren were fortunate to have her love. Because Alice was a military brat, she was never afraid of starting over, and lived all over the country. From New York to Boston, Los Angeles to Utah, she built community everywhere she went. In Utah, Alice was active with the First Unitarian Church. Alice was never shy about getting political, and dedicated her last years in the fight against the Inland Port. She was a "Tough Old Broad" who genuinely worked hard to make our world a better place. She was fearless in her transcendence to the next realm, but her absence is a tremendous loss for those of us that remain. In lieu of flowers, Alice has requested any donations be sent to local NPR station, KUER.
