Overview
The third Ranma 1/2 game is a one-on-one beat em up featuring extensive visual scenes that vary depending on whether you win a fight as boy-type Ranma or girl-type Ranma. Levels are set in a variety of locations, with a crazy array of characters from the manga out to get you. During fights you can hold down the button to power up a super attack, or hit select to change from boy to girl and back again, female Ranma being more agile but having less power.
Comment
As a beat em up, the game is pretty competent, but where it really shines is presentation. The scenes between levels are well drawn and very funny in places and are the glue that holds the game together, and this combination makes the whole package greater than the sum of its parts and a fantastic bit of entertainment, especially for Ranma fans. The superb soundtrack of Jane Jensens Moebius. Composed by Robert Holmes, also the composer for the Gabriel Knight games.
Moebius: Empire Rising is a graphic adventure video game developed by Pinkerton Road and Phoenix Online Studios. It was released on Microsoft Windows and OS X on April 15, 2014, with Linux, iOS and Android versions to follow. The game is a spiritual successor to the Gabriel Knight series.
The game tells the story of Malachi Rector, an antiques dealer who travels the world hunting down valuable artefacts. After returning from a trip to Spain hes hired by Amble Dexter, the head of a secretive government agency called FITA, to investigate a series of events and document them in his meticulous way.
The first event is the death of a young woman in Venice, found hanging from a bridge. As Rector investigates her life, he realizes that the beautiful and talented young woman—and the interrupted path of her life—had great hidden significance: Amble Dexter and his associates are playing with the fabric of life in a way Rector never imagined was possible. Even he, Rector himself, is part of a larger pattern. He must figure out who is doing what, and whether their intentions are for good or ill, before he can decide if he will play his pre-scripted role or try to change the outcome. This is a metaphysical thriller à la Dantes Equation and Gabriel Knight. Moebius: Empire Rising - Cairo Slow Melody [MUSIC]](https://i.ytimg.com/vi/QtYw8LEJHWA/mqdefault.jpg)
