Playthrough | Part 21: Stop the Ritual at the Golden Summit
S-Sha is determined to fulfill what she desires and she's doing that at Leanbox's Golden Summit. So Vert and Nepgear head there to stop S-Sha.
It's here that we meet E-Sha. E-Sha only comes about when S-Sha is asleep. They share the same body. She talks via text. This is a reference to how Square-Enix were two separate companies and they both suffered severe blows. The only way to survive was for the two to become one.
The Leanbox Golden Summit is a long multi-floor tower. So you'll need to move about, time your jumps and make sure you reach the top. But it's here you'll face off against a plethora of boss fights.
First is Neptune... Adult Neptune. For whatever reason, Adult Nep is working with the bad guys. She's only here to stall for time and nothing else. Hell, Arfoire ordered Adult Nep to intercept intruders. She isn't that hard of a fight so just bring the pain and she'll go down. Nepgear ain't happy with this but we have no choice. We beat her but it was all a diversion.
We find S-Sha who reveals her true plans as to why she kidnapped all the ran-pigs. She created a film, a movie, and made a mistake that cost her big. Sound familiar?! After her failure, she was about to die. But then E-Sha came in to save her. They were rivals but was determined to save her. Sadly S-Sha's body was far too gone so E-Sha took her soul and transferred it into hers. Since then, this body houses two souls, S-Sha and E-Sha. Sadly it can't hold two souls so she's doing all this to create a new body for the sake of providing S-Sha a new body.
Afterwards, she sics Dogoo Man and Dogoo Lady at them. We have to fight the two. They aren't hard. We beat them and we continue on. Turns out they are there for E-Sha's sake and the fact that S-Sha's plan was suggested by Arfoire. Eventually they reach the top and confront S-Sha who is arguing with E-Sha. But then she performs the ritual only to fail. Not once but twice. Turns out they were one ran-pig short. Vert & Nepgear is determined to stop S-Sha, no matter the cost.
Now you face against S-Sha who can be quite tough. If you leveled up enough, you should do fine. After beating S-Sha, she's determined to help E-Sha by any means, even if it costs her life. Vert slaps S-Sha, asking her if it's the right thing to do. She tells her that it's possible for two souls to exist simultaneously. Turns out that E-Sha will die if she's out of her body. It took E-Sha to convince S-Sha that she did what she had to do to saved her. S-Sha thanked E-Sha for saving her. Everything has been resolved... or is it? S-Sha asks Vert to destroy the tower. It is the source of Gold Third's power. Arfoire chews adult Nep out for disobeying orders but it didn't matter as she got what she wanted. A strange console cable.
We return to Leanbox and everything's back to normal. At this point, all four stories are finished. We return to Neptune and it seems that AffimaX is the true culprit, responsible for most of the events that have transpired. We've also found the whereabouts of AffimaX, on an airship. Thankfully Histoire has a way to reach them. You know what that means right? Time to get the gang back together.
We're doing it in Part 22.
