So even though the first section looks the same, there's no more autoscrolling. You can technically go at your own pace now, however going to slow means the boxes that block some of the lasers will be out of position, and you'll have to try and use the platforms to get past the lasers safely, which a much smaller window of safety to work with. There's also a slight change to the path leading to the armor capsule. While you still have to jump between spiked walls to get to it, you will now need a special weapon to get past the electric barriers. This same barrier blocks the Heart Tank, but Thunder Dancer can shut them down. And replacing the second autoscrolling section is an Advancing Wall of Doom as you are chased by lava, Flammole-style.

Now for the post-game area. For the most part, its the same as it was in vanilla, at first anyway. Theres a Jammer at the entrance who can change the satellite for your Transer, which not only lets you switch which form you start with in your Power Up, but it is required to do everything here. Since we have access to all 3 forms, we also have access to all 3 Admin fights, but we need to have the appropriate Satellite registered to fight them. This part we fight Leo and Pegasus.

So we just jump right into the action here, no prologue or anything. But anyway, a new robot named King has attacked the Robot Museum (the same one from Mega Man 7) and plans to use the data stored here to build an army of robots. Proto Man is here to stop him, but is very quickly given the X1 Zero treatment. King then uses the Green Devil, who is somehow even less threatening than his Mega Man 8 version, to cover his escape.
