When most people think about VeloSano, Cleveland Clinic's annual fundraising effort supporting cancer research, they think about riding bikes and raising money to help fight cancer.
But Tony Rehak is proving there is more than one way to make a difference.
"I don't ride a bike, I don't own a bike, and I wanted to get involved. I didn't realize that there's ways to get involved other than just contributing to the folks who ride," Rehak said.
Today, Rehak is one of VeloSano's top fundraisers, sitting at No. 12 on the leaderboard with more than $21,000 raised and counting.
He is doing it as a VeloSano "champion" — someone who raises money and awareness for the cause without participating in the bike ride.
