Raceweek is coming in hot, which means it’s time to bulletproof the 1964 Chevelle's cooling system. In this video, we are ditching the stainless steel hard lines and the integrated radiator transmission cooling, and installing a completely standalone transmission cooler for the TH350.

Running your hot transmission fluid through the same radiator that cools your Big Block 454 puts massive strain on the whole system. By moving to a standalone cooler plumbed with robust PTFE braided lines and AN fittings, the trans cooler gets fresh air, and this takes frees up cooling capacity of the radiator for improved management of the coolant temperature. I’ll take you along for the ride as we route the lines, build the AN fittings, fire it up for some sweet Big Block sounds, and check for leaks.
