This is the AB Productions redub to the original French version, as originally released on the 2nd volume of the French VHS collection by AB/TF1 Video in 1990, and again on the 2nd tape of the 5-volume Une Video collection in 1998 ;)
The character of the lamp later re-appeared in the episode Oil Wells, although this particular episode was made after.
In the UK, this was originally broadcast on December 29, 1970.

Heres another black-and-white episode translated, with another groovy song, this time, sung by Dougal himself! In the UK, this was originally broadcast on November 29, 1965. :)
This and 14 other episodes from the original black-and white season were included as part of a 1994 VHS release by Polygram, alongside Pollux et le Chat Bleu (Dougal and the Blue Cat).
