This is my third version of my reconstruction for this episode (updated for the second time), with Eric Thompson's original English narration (taken from the 2010 CD release of the 1971 UK album). Only the video footage has been updated (taken from a 1998 French VHS, with the opening and closing transitions uncensored). In the UK, this was originally broadcast on December 30, 1970.

This is the AB Productions redub to the original French version, as released on the 2nd volume of the French VHS collection by AB/TF1 Video in 1990, and again on the 2nd tape of the 5-volume Une Video collection in 1998 ;)
This is also one of the few rare episodes where Dougal is not one of the main characters, and only makes a cameo appearance.
In the UK, this was originally broadcast on February 12, 1971.

When Winnie the Pooh and the Honey Tree was first released in 1966, there was a great deal of controversy, particularly regarding Christopher Robin (being voiced by Bruce Reitherman) having an American accent. Following the controversy, the only film print of Honey Tree in Britain was recalled back to Burbank and all of Reithermans lines for Christopher Robin were re-dubbed by a British voice actor. For many years, it has been speculated that Jon Walmsley was the voice actor in question, as his re-dub of Christopher Robin for this short was used in the compilation feature, The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh...
...until very recently.
As it turns out, there is a THIRD version of this short which features an unknown British voice actor, and this is presumably the version that was re-issued in the UK following the controversy. This extremely rare version is from the shorts 1981 UK VHS release only, as all subsequent VHS releases in the UK (with the exception of The Many Adventures) would feature the original American version with Bruce Reithermans lines intact.
Any help with identifying this voice actor is greatly appreciated! Enjoy this ultra-rare piece of lost Disney media ;)
