When "Winnie the Pooh and the Honey Tree" was first released in 1966, there was a great deal of controversy, particularly regarding Christopher Robin (being voiced by Bruce Reitherman) having an American accent. Following the controversy, the only film print of Honey Tree in Britain was recalled back to Burbank and all of Reitherman's lines for Christopher Robin were re-dubbed by a British voice actor. For many years, it has been speculated that Jon Walmsley was the voice actor in question, as his re-dub of Christopher Robin for this short was used in the compilation feature, "The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh"...
...until very recently.
As it turns out, there is a THIRD version of this short which features an unknown British voice actor, and this is presumably the version that was re-issued in the UK following the controversy. This extremely rare version is from the short's 1981 UK VHS release only, as all subsequent VHS releases in the UK (with the exception of "The Many Adventures") would feature the original American version with Bruce Reitherman's lines intact.
Any help with identifying this voice actor is greatly appreciated! Enjoy this ultra-rare piece of lost Disney media ;)
