MC5 'Kick Out the Jams' and 'Empty Heart' from 'Thunder Express' filmed live on French TV 1972. Now reissued on yellow vinyl LP and CD. The CD booklet and LP inner bag include the White Panther Party 10-point Programme and notes from an early 70's interview feature. 'Empty Heart' is the only recording of their cover of the early Rolling Stones track (from their 5x5 EP recorded at Chess Studios in June 1964); also on the album is the otherwise unreleased title-track 'Thunder Express' and two early singles from 1967 & 1968.
MC5's first album since the 70's, 'Heavy Lifting' is released in October 2024. Sadly, this year guitarist Wayne Kramer, drummer Dennis Thompson and their influential manager John Sinclair all passed away, marking the end of the MC5 era. MC5 were finally inducted into the Rock'n'Roll Hall of Fame in October 2024.
