Mercury Rev's 'Chasing a Bee' video promo - taken from their seminal 'Yerself Is Steam' debut album of 1991. Contrasting vocals from Dave Baker and Jonathan Donahue, with the sanity amidst the guitar madness of Grasshopper & Donahue being Suzanne's pied piper flute. Bassist Dave Fridmann lays the template for his production skills (Flaming Lips, MGMT, Mogwai), later described by Mojo as 'the Phil Spector of the alt-rock era'.

The video was shot at an abandoned infectious disease hospital that once housed 'Typhoid Mary'* on North Brother Island in New York City, and was directed by Jim Spring and Jens Jurgensen.
