Got this on my first try after 1CC:ing Normal mode. Hard seems only slightly tougher and you end up getting more score extends so the end of the game is ironically easier than the start (at least for me).
Very cool presentation and music in this game though and scoring seems fairly fun. For survival its very much on the easy side comparing to recent indie shmups or older arcade releases. Its a solid game but not revolutionary if youre just going for a clear IMO. I need to give the score attack modes a shot.
Im glad they added the Restricted sword control type after the demo, you can aim the sword on an arcade stick towards your current movement direction then lock the direction with the shot button. Makes the control mechanics not feel half-assed compared to how it works on gamepad, and has a somewhat similar snappy feeling to the sword in Radiant Silvergun, etc.
With the game being so heavy on the visual presentation it makes sense to do story mode on your first playthrough, though having to press Start to see mid-stage talking sequences is weird to me. I cant be bothered to reach there on my stick as its out of the way..
Sektori also released on Steam today which is a great twin-stick shooter, Ill definitely try to dig into that one.")

Clearing Revolution with this ship was significantly more difficult than with Sentinel and somewhat more than Redeemer. I almost gave up at a few points. Probably the most fun for me overall though.
Score Selector upgrade really is a lifesaver with Defier. So much so that Id rather use it aggressively in the last two stages than try to go for a Shield Reset card deck. Point-Blank was also not used because of the pull timings here.

Pretty fun Alien Soldier -like. The Impact Dash system is cool. Scoring and time attack seem nice, you get rewarded for bullet cancels and theres tight controls + not much randomness.
Probably pretty interesting to route the dashes properly. This run is real messy (I still get faster clears every time I get through..)
I kind of like the visual style + story more in their previous game SomnaBuster, this one is more action focused.
