An unusually cold weather system for this time of year will allow snow to fall in portions of the central Plains and Upper Midwest through Thursday. The snow will be heavy across parts of Minnesota and Wisconsin where 6 to 12 inches could fall. Winter Storm Warnings are in effect in these states.
