SACRAMENTO, Calif. (KCRA) —Cities around Northern California are feeling the heat on Saturday, including Sacramento, which set a new record-high.
Sacramento passed the previous June 8 record high of 103 degrees set in 1973 about 3 p.m. Saturday.
Modesto, Fairfield and Marysville all took over the top spot for the hottest day on record, as well.
Redding and Red Bluff shattered previous record-high temperature earlier in the day, reaching 110 degrees.
Stockton and Chico are expected to break records once temperatures reach their peak.
This forecast is configured to represent The Weather Channel's WeatherSTAR 4000 Local Forecast system, as it looked when it first debuted in early 1990.
