Formed in 2006, MASTER CHARGER have carved a distinctive path in the underground heavy scene, refining their sound across previous releases, including "Unity in Black" (2011), "Eroding Empires" (2016), and "Origin of the Lugubrious" (2020). Their crushing live performances have seen them share the stage with acts such as Monolord, Orange Goblin, Black Rainbows, Conan, Raging Speedhorn, Fireball Ministry, Dead Witches, Overkill, Alunah and Paradise Lost, along with appearances at major festivals like HRH Doom vs Stoner, HRH Metal Chapter III and Hammerfest XI.
Drawing influence from the titans of heavy music, including Black Sabbath, Led Zeppelin, Deep Purple, Motörhead, Slayer, Venom, Celtic Frost, Black Flag, Trouble, Saint Vitus and Pentagram, MASTER CHARGER deliver a relentless fusion of vintage doom, raw sludge, and unfiltered rock energy.

Icelandic stoner doom metal psychonauts SLEEPING GIANT proudly announce their signing with Octopus Rising / Argonauta Records, marking a powerful new chapter in the band’s journey through crushing riffs and cosmic heaviness. To celebrate this partnership, the band unleashes their debut single “Conqueror”.
Emerging from the volcanic underground of Iceland, SLEEPING GIANT channel the raw spirit of Stoner and Doom Metal, enriched by elements of Thrash, Death and Sludge. Their sound is a fierce blend of massive grooves, razor-sharp drumming, and roaring vocals, a true tour-de-force of heavy metal energy.
Originally formed in 2009, the band’s debut performance erupted just steps away from Iceland’s “pots-and-pans revolution.” Quickly earning a cult reputation for their visceral sound and onstage ferocity, SLEEPING GIANT became one of Iceland’s most intriguing underground acts. After a decade of hibernation, the giant finally awoke in 2023, returning to the stage at Reykjadoom and Norðanpaunk festivals, and entering the studio to craft their long-awaited first official release, soon to be revealed through Octopus Rising / Argonauta Records.
