"Future Nomads is one of the first songs we wrote. With its thrusting tempo and heavy groove it always gets heads nodding and crowds (and us) moving. The chorus has a bit of a 90's grunge vibe to it, a style that has influenced our music quite a bit. But the most important thing about Future Nomads: it features a bass solo (did anyone say (Anesthesia) - Pulling Teeth?). We hope everyone enjoys listening to it as much as we did writing and recording it!" - says the band.
Hell Valley High is a groove-driven heavy rock band, based in Utrecht, The Netherlands. The quintet combines thick, heavy riffing, throbbing bass parts and pounding drums with powerful vocals and punk rock energy.
The band’s music is inspired by the likes of Fu Manchu, Truckfighters, Red Fang, Alice in Chains, Soundgarden, Karma to Burn, Kyuss, Monster Magnet and Black Sabbath.
Hell Valley High is comprised of seasoned musicians who have played a lot of shows in The Netherlands and toured Europe extensively. The group features ex-members of Wildebeast, Filthy Felons, Note to Amy, Apehanger and Junkyard Safari and is currently rocking the stages.

Lyrics:
Future Nomads
Draggin’ on along the lines
The road goes on, the tape rewinds
Another hour, maybe more
This country he ain't been before
Stranger to any a cause
Marked soul he's all lost
Seas of sand and dunes like waves
They carry him to a desert grave
And when the sun goes under
Black velvet takes the sky
They can't help but wonder
Will we survive the night
And when the darkness sets on
They're guided by the lights
Out of reach and out their minds
What’s residing in his head
Images, she's dressed in red
Velvet draped along the curves
Suggestive as a poisonous curse
Trust ain't given and not earned
Her arms covered in marked burns
So sweet beneath the skin
Tried keeping it out but it crept in
And when the sun goes under
Black velvet takes the sky
They can't help but wonder
Will we survive the night
And when the darkness sets on
They're guided by the lights
Out of reach and out their minds

French sludge-core force TIGERLEECH have just released their brand new video “Otoshimae”, taken from their praised album Bicephalous, released in April 2025 by Octopus Rising / Argonauta Records.
With Bicephalous, TIGERLEECH have taken a huge step forward in their evolution. The album delivers an intense and raw sludge metal sound, heavy with emotion, groove and confrontation.
It marks a clear move away from their earlier stoner influences, revealing a sharper and more aggressive identity.
Recorded at Hybreed Studios by Andrew Guillotin, Bicephalous captures the band’s most focused and energetic work to date.
Massive riffs, haunting vocals, and dense atmospheres come together in a mix that feels both punishing and deeply cathartic.
“Otoshimae” perfectly showcases this new direction. The track hits with unstoppable energy, while its visuals reflect the band’s vision of duality, conflict and redemption.
Formed in 2013, TIGERLEECH have built a solid reputation in the French heavy scene. They have played Hellfest Off, Napalm Fest and shared stages with many underground heavyweights. Each release has shown a new side of their sound, combining sludge, punk energy and raw emotion.
Bicephalous stands as their most complete and ambitious record so far. Every track carries its own identity, from the explosive “321 Ignition” to the slow-burning “…Again”.
Lyrically, the band faces political, social and personal struggles with no filter.
With Otoshimae, TIGERLEECH confirm their place among the most exciting names in today’s European sludge scene. TIGERLEECH - Otoshimae (official video) [Octopus Rising / Argonauta Records]](https://i.ytimg.com/vi/Ptc9hkQTNek/mqdefault.jpg)

Emerging from the rugged shores of Jersey, apocalyptic rockers Gurnslinger are set to unleash their second single, The Lizards, accompanied by an official music video. The track is taken from their highly anticipated debut album, Who Killed the World?, scheduled for release on May 2nd, 2025, via Octopus Rising / Argonauta Records in CD and digital formats.
Recorded in the depths of a bleak January at a remote farm in Rozel Bay, Jersey, the band locked themselves away in an isolated landscape that perfectly mirrored the themes of doom and decay explored throughout the album. Under the watchful eye of local shaman Lucas Saunter, the recording process was raw, immersive, and fuelled by a steady supply of ale, herbal inspiration, and a relentless loop of Mad Max: Fury Road playing in the background. The result? A genre-defying fusion of stoner rock, progressive structures, and punk attitude, capturing the essence of a world teetering on the edge of oblivion.
The finishing touches on the mix were handled by London-based producer Steve Sears Jr (Gallows, Conjurer, The Hell, WACO), ensuring that the album’s apocalyptic energy is as visceral as it is immersive.

Gurnslinger began their journey in late 2022, forging their sound amidst the crumbling ruins of civilization. Hailing from Jersey—a mere forty-five square mile rock off the north coast of France—their music reflects themes of environmental destruction and societal collapse. But Gurnslinger is no exercise in nihilism; instead, they deliver a final battle cry, a raw and unrelenting burst of energy that demands to be heard before the world burns.
