Experimental Industrial duo BLU MAMUTH sign to Octopus Rising; First Single and Video Out Now!
Blu Mamuth is an experimental industrial project, strongly bound to primitives and tribal sound and words, often completely made up, just like in a New Language.
It's born from an idea of V. e Z., already companions in a long sound collaboration together in Zirkus der Zeit, an avant prog-project, lasting nine years.
Hence the need to change everything. To start from zero, just using electronic instruments, keyboards, sampler, computer and voice effects, creating a more emotional sound, between tribal hypnosis and industrial noises.
There's a big attention to every single noise, and a big cure in the post production phase to permit a lot of different sensations in which one can get lost and find oneself.
A kind of travel in sonic tales.
The sense of the project is in fact to remove our own social masks, and return to an animal, deeper way of being and feeling.
Blu Mamuth says: "The collaboration with Octopus Rising / Argonauta started on the advice of a band of friends (Temple of Deimos) that already signed with them; after a show we had in a club, their founder told us to send our music to the label.
We met and we found immediately a common ideal sense to mean music, and we enjoyed starting this first voyage together".
Watch out for the peculiar sound of Blu Mamuth, highly recommended if you like: Fever Ray, Zola Jesus, Lamb, Trentemøller and Anna von Hausswolff. More details will be revealed soon.
VIDEO CREDITS:
Il Teatro della Tosse, Marina Petrillo, Marina Fulco.
Concept by Blu Mamuth.

![THRÆDS - Nothing Good to Say (official video) [Octopus Rising / Argonauta Records]
Progressive post-rockers THRÆDS have just released their new single and official video “Nothing Good to Say”, taken from their debut album Impermanence, which will be released on June 6 via Octopus Rising and Argonauta Records, available on CD and digital formats.
THRÆDS dives deep into the complexities of time, self-awareness, and resilience with their latest track, Nothing Good to Say. Fusing progressive post-rock with atmospheric shoegaze elements, the song creates a brooding yet introspective soundscape that mirrors the journey of confronting bitterness while striving to remain curious and humble.
Laced with raw emotion, the lyrics grapple with inner struggles—asking how much hostility and tragedy one can endure before learning to let go. Themes of surrendering control, embracing lifes uncertainties, and resisting darker temptations weave through haunting melodies and expansive instrumentals. Ethereal guitar layers and dynamic buildups guide listeners through a contemplative experience, balancing tension with reflection.
Nothing Good to Say invites listeners to look time in the eye, acknowledge life’s harsh realities, and find peace in vulnerability. It’s a reminder that even amidst chaos and disillusionment, there’s strength in choosing growth over bitterness, and curiosity over fear.
With Impermanence, THRÆDS explore the fragile and fleeting nature of existence through eight meticulously composed tracks. The band confronts the inevitability of entropy and the cycles of creation and destruction, shaping a sound that is both intense and immersive. Their music evolves between moments of overwhelming heaviness and eerie stillness, reflecting the unpredictable forces that shape human experience.
Formed in 2019 by guitarist and composer Angelos Tzamtzis, THRÆDS began as a solo project and quickly developed into a full band following his move to Berlin. Their multinational lineup blends progressive metal, post-metal and atmospheric rock with influences from Gojira, Tool, Alcest, Elder and Porcupine Tree.
Tracklist:
1.Timeless
2.Reflections
3.Nothing Good to Say
4.Clockworks
5.Sole Survivor
6.Devolve
7.Einstein Rosen Bridge
8.Story in Reverse
The album is entirely self-produced. Drums and vocals were recorded by Matthias Schilling at G7 Studios, while all other instruments were recorded by Angelos Tzamtzis. Guest contributions by Alekos Gramma (saxophone) and Vangelis Sazanidis (synthesizer) add further tension and depth to the sound, amplifying the album’s haunting and cinematic atmosphere.
According to the band, Impermanence is a meditation on change and collapse, a reflection on the violence and beauty of transformation. Their aim is to create an unfiltered and honest experience, using dissonance, atmosphere and dynamic shifts to challenge the listener and evoke a strong emotional response.
THRÆDS are:
Angelos Tzamtzis – Guitar, Synthesizer
Celso Borralho – Vocals
Felipe Melo Villarroel – Drums
Barnabás Mihály – Bass
Tim Crawford – Guitar, Backing Vocals
Following the release of their debut EP Akasha and a European tour in 2022, Impermanence marks a new chapter for the band, who are now preparing to bring their sound to new audiences across Europe.
