My lead story in this week's news is the hugely important discovery of a megalithic complex in Spain! With more than five hundred standing stones, many of which are in rows, as well as dolmens, cists and prehistoric enclosures, this find could change our understanding of the Neolithic on the Iberian Peninsula!
In this video I also talk about the a recent analysis of rock crystal found in Neolithic burial grounds in the British Isles. This rare transparent quartz was transported hundreds of miles and deposited in these graves in purpose, probably because these gems were seen as having magical properties useful for the afterlife. Join me as I discuss these stories, as well as some other fascinating finds from the world of archeology!
