Bursa Malaysia closed higher on Wednesday, up 0.70 per cent, or 12.21 points, to end at 1,748, led by gains in the utility sector.
This is in line with broader market sentiment as global oil prices fell below eighty US dollars on hopes of a transit deal between Iran and Oman in the Strait of Hormuz.
On the currency front, the ringgit strengthened against the US dollar to 4.0220.
Meanwhile, Bitcoin continued to trend lower at RM315,890, while Ethereum also declined to RM9,860.
That’s it for Market Pulse.
