I learned how to side by side videos! This video shows a timing comparison for strats that mario does vs luigi does in slipsand 1. I'll learn how to do better editing at some point, but I just used some text to display the times for each.
I got these segments by playing each character in the level for 2 hours after I learned it. I found Luigi would more often have his long jumps eaten by the sand while Mario got hit by the fire on the first planet more often. Mario's mistakes threw off the cycles less often and lead to more runs finishing on a decent enough pace.
My best runs I managed to get will be a separate side-by-side video as well. It will contain explanation to the strategies used.
