Hello Everyone! I finally have the March poll assembled! I've been running around like a crazy person with work lately, so I apologize for that. This time around we have 6 new tracks. The first is called "Prepare Thyself." It's a cinematic style track that starts with some simple percussion to set the mood. Then things build and become more intense with different kinds of drums and some slow, dragging cello.
The second track is something I did that was a little different for me, so I had some fun with it. I was listening to some African and tribal music and found sometimes a song of theirs would have nothing but different percussion and vocals, sometimes singing, sometimes shouts and cheers. It's very mood setting, so I wanted to try something like that where I don't really use some of the typical melodic instruments I normally do. And that leaves us with "African Beat."
Our third piece is called "It's Descending." This has a Sci-Fi feeling, though I could imagine it being used in other types of projects. The deep, synth bass and pounding percussion gets us right into the thick of things. The drums sound like thunder in the distance, slowly creeping on us. The distorted guitar starts a few seconds in and carries the main melody with some cello and weird sound effects adding depth.
The fourth track is an RPG tavern kind of theme named "Tales of Old." The lively guitars and droning bag pipe place us in front of the fire at a table sharing drinks as strangers and comrades share stories of conquest and embellish their deeds. Flutes and recorders take the lead and add that last bit of old-time, tavern atmosphere.
Then we have "You Were Meant For This." This is a reflective piece carried by fading strings, the solo cello and some vocals. I imagined the hero of the story in a scene where he needed to make a decision. It's time to discard the past and the things he can't change. It's time to become the person he needs to be to overcome the current threat.
And lastly, track number 6 is "They Come At Night." This is an intense horror track that immediately takes off with gliding piano notes and bendy horns to give us that chill down our spines. Bells toll in the far off distance. Whatever is out there is watching. Waiting...
I'll start a private poll for the second tier and higher to cast your vote for the piece you want finished. Voting will end March 28th, so you have plenty of time to decide! Whichever track wins will be completed by the end of the month.
Thanks so much, everyone for your patience and continued support! I hope you all enjoy!
