On June 17, 2021, a Broward County Sheriff's deputy attempted to stop a vessel full of illegal immigrants in Pompano Beach, FL. They eventually crashed into a seawall where 16 individuals fled from the vessel onto land. Of the 16 occupants, there were 3 previously removed for aggravated felony convictions including murder.
