One of two first-place-winning compositions at last year's Lilburn Trust NZSM Composers Competition was Mallory Elmo's Scene from 'Vivian's Ghost'. This startling scene from a work-in-progress opera depicts the ghost of a trans teen coming back to haunt a scaremongering journalist.
