Meet Marianne Pettersson-Soold – one of the master calligraphers making sure that the Nobel Prize diplomas look stunning!
This year, Pettersson-Soold has put her shine on the Chemistry Prize diplomas, which four joint winners will be receiving this afternoon at Stockholm Concert Hall.
The key to the perfect Nobel diploma? Lightfast colours and a steel-nib dip pen. Oh, and years of practice and a sense of form, of course.
Nobel Day – 10 December – marks the anniversary of Alfred Nobel’s death. At the prestigious award ceremony in Stockholm, the Nobel Prize laureates receive their Nobel Prizes in Physics, Chemistry, Physiology or Medicine, and Literature, as well as the Prize in Economic Sciences. The Nobel Peace Prize is awarded in Oslo.
